Is Roco Kingdom multiplayer?

Yes. Roco Kingdom multiplayer is built around online co-op activities in Carosia, including exploration, shared gathering, co-riding, and battles. The official Steam listing also describes turn-based PvP, with Jini levels equalized to support a fairer competitive experience.

The game is not presented as a strictly solo adventure. However, several important details—such as maximum party size, server capacity, and cross-region matchmaking—have not been confirmed. Treat the currently available information as a preview of the multiplayer design rather than a complete launch specification.

What can players do together?

Based on the official Steam description and the developer’s gameplay overview, co-op players can:

  • Explore the open world together
  • Ride together through the environment
  • Hold hands while traveling
  • Share rewards from gathering
  • Earn battle EXP through multiplayer activities
  • Fight and catch creatures together
  • Share certain items, including eggs and Buddy Pods
  • Take part in turn-based PvP

The official gameplay video shows co-op exploration, battles, catching, and item sharing. It also demonstrates different Pod types for specific elements, such as Thermal Pods for Ice and Fire and Net Pods for Water and Wind. Those examples show how multiplayer catching can work, but they do not establish exact catch rates, trading rules, or a limit on gifts.

Item sharing should not be interpreted as unrestricted Jini trading. The available sources do not confirm a complete creature-trading system or a monthly gift allowance.

How do co-riding and shared progression work?

Co-riding gives players a way to travel together instead of exploring entirely separately. Holding hands and shared gathering rewards are also advertised multiplayer features, suggesting that the game is designed to make ordinary exploration more social rather than limiting co-op to combat.

Roco Kingdom’s closed beta also supports shared game data between PC and mobile. This is cross-progression: an approved tester can use the same game data across those beta platforms. It does not automatically prove that PC, mobile, PlayStation, and Xbox players can join the same party.

The developer has announced Windows PC, PlayStation, Xbox, iOS, and Android as global target platforms in its official global announcement. Still, the Quack Quack closed beta is limited to the PC, Android, and iOS routes described by the official beta FAQ. Console support in the beta has not been confirmed.

The VGTimes Gamescom interview describes full cross-play as a global plan. That preview statement is separate from which platforms and accounts can enter this PC/mobile closed test.

Is Roco Kingdom an MMO or a single-player game?

Roco Kingdom has MMO-like social features, but the supplied sources do not confirm final server sizes, a persistent MMO structure, or a fixed number of players in one world. The dated VGTimes developer interview describes variable local player density and says there was no switch to disable multiplayer in the preview. That is preview information, not confirmation of a specific party or server limit.

Likewise, no offline mode has been confirmed. Players should not assume the game can be played fully offline simply because storefront classifications can use single-player tags. The safest conclusion is that online multiplayer is a central part of the experience, while offline functionality remains unannounced.

The official Steam listing confirms online co-op, PvP, and a Level Infinite account requirement, but it does not provide a final launch date or detailed matchmaking rules. Check the official Roco Kingdom Steam page for current platform and availability updates.

Roco Kingdom multiplayer FAQ

Does the beta support cross-play?

PC and mobile share game data during the closed beta, confirming cross-progression. Full cross-play across every planned platform has not been confirmed for this test.

Is there a party-size limit?

The reviewed official sources do not publish a maximum party size. Do not rely on local player-density examples as a confirmed party or server cap.

Can players trade Jinies?

The sources confirm sharing examples such as eggs and Buddy Pods, but they do not confirm unrestricted Jini trading or a finalized creature-trading system.

Will beta multiplayer progress carry into launch?

No. The closed-beta FAQ states that characters, game data, and progress will be wiped when the test ends. Shared PC and mobile progression applies only within the test and is not launch carryover.
